Today has been a good day! We went to see the orthopedic team early this morning and they took out all of Alec's stitches. They gave him a compression sock and it seems as though that is really helping with the muscle spasms. It hurt like a banchee to get them out but as usual, he is extremely tough! Later we went to the plastics team and they checked his hand, pins are still in place and it's healing well. Alec was told he can shower now without covering his right thigh.... woohoo, one more body part uncovered! He also finished his antibiotic and the nurse came and took out his PIC line! Yup that's another body part uncovered. He has EVERY line, stitch, monitor and everything else off, (except his right hand) exactly 5 weeks to the day of his accident! Can you believe that???AMAZING!!!!!!
Last night he even attended the football banquet for his little brother and the team he coached. While he was completely wiped out, and spent most of the night in a lot of pain, it was so awesome to have him there. Even more so for him to be there with the boys he loves.


PS they moved his appointment with the prosthetic team from Jan 21 to Dec 17th!!!! That is great news!
